Reusable Nappies for Heavy Wetters - FAQs
Absolutely. The customisable absorbency in the Revolutionary means you can add as much capacity as your baby needs. Many parents of heavy wetters find reusables actually outperform disposables once the boosting is set up correctly.
If you're getting leaks before a change is due, or if the nappy feels completely saturated well before the usual time, your baby is probably a heavier wetter. The fix is usually straightforward: add a booster and see how you get on.
Bamboo boosters hold more liquid overall and are a great starting point for heavier wetters. Microfibre absorbs quickly but has less total capacity, so it works better as a top layer to pull moisture away fast rather than as the main workhorse. Layering the two together is a popular combination.
It can add a little extra bulk, but most babies adjust to it quickly and it rarely affects movement or comfort. If you're finding it too much during the day, save the extra boosting for overnight when your baby is lying down and the fit is less of an issue.
